IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM

Last April, Nazgol Ghandnoosh, Ph.D., Senior Research Analyst at The Sentencing Project, gave a comprehensive analysis of our topic and provided four categories of solutions. On November 9, we will explore further those and other solutions after Dr. Wornie Reed reviews the data and discusses the use of Minority Impact Statements.

Professor of Sociology and Africana Studies and 

Director of the Race and Social Policy Research Center at Virginia Tech

Professor Reed has taught courses, conducted research, and published numerous articles and several books on medical care, health and illness, urban communities, and criminal and juvenile justice. He serves on the Steering Committee of the Montgomery County Dialogue on Race.
